Infrastructure Specialist

LOCATION: Houston or Lafayette


Job may be defined as that of a Network Infrastructure Specialist. This job involves:

  • Providing strategy and technical input as direction, growth or technology changes within client networks
  • Responsible for implementation of changes in network architecture, design and technology
  • Providing network technical consultation on enterprise level projects
  • Ensuring and maintaining network infrastructure for expected growth
  • Maintaining configurations of LAN, WAN & WLAN Network Infrastructure
  • Maintaining all Cloud based network architecture and configurations
  • Providing support for Network & Server related issues
  • Responsible for maintaining network connectivity and security within client networks



  • 3+ years LAN / WAN networking experience including solid understanding of Network and Communication methods
  • Experience with design/maintenance on WAN/LAN Cisco Network
  • Complete understanding of DNS and DHCP
  • Complete comprehension of IP Routing (L3), and switching (L2) in a Corp WAN/LAN architecture
  • Experience with AWS or Azure
  • Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy Objects
  • Experience with TCP/IP protocols
  • Experience with WiFi protocols and products, Cisco & Meraki preferred
  • Ability to remain organized, pay strict attention to detail, and meet critical deadlines within a dynamic high volume, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to support multiple projects, and effectively manage a large volume of work
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to meet and exceed position requirements under minimal direction and supervision
  • Ability to operate professionally, effectively and ethically as an individual contributor and member of a team
  • Analytical, with strong problem-solving abilities and creative resolution skills
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with individuals at various levels, both internal and external
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Visio
