QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of one or more relevant technical subject areas within project management, such as drafting management plans, risk mitigation, transition documents, test documents, standard operating procedures, or policy documents is desired.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Photoshop. Previous experience in developing marketing copy is a plus.
  • Ability to support meetings and inter-team communication among management team and engineering teams.
  • Ability to work closely and collaboratively with management, peers and customer team leaders and members.
  • Ability to transform given information from engineering teams and determine a clear and logical way to present information to officers and end users.
  • Ability to create graphs, figures and tables in a clear and concise manner within technical documentation. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  •  Actively seek ways to improve deliverable quality and be unafraid to accept new challenges or suggest new approaches.
  • Provide statistical analysis of data as required to support technical reports.
  • Plan, develop, organize, write and edit operational procedures, manuals, technical reports, statements of work, and project proposals.
  • Research, develop and document technical design specifications and test scripts.
  • Develop graphics and illustrations to elaborate on or complement technical writing.
  • Create and refine document and presentation styles so as to reflect a level of professionalism.
  • Consult relevant information sources, including technical subject matter experts, technical documents, client and project personnel, to obtain background information and compose or review technical project documentation.
  • Identify and support opportunities to expand project scope beyond current deliverable and actively share information about clients’ emerging support needs and trends with team members and management.
  • Juggling multiple complex documentation tasks with little or no oversight, while also working effectively within a documentation team to support varying workloads.
  • Participate on proposals
  • Experience in writing in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences 

Minimum Requirements: Experience, Educational & Special Training 

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in English, Communications or Marketing or related fields.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience. Relevant experience includes knowledge of program and project management, acquisition, and deliverable documentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook).
  • Proficient in design software such as Adobe Photoshop.
  • Experience in writing operational procedures, manuals, technical reports, statements of work, project proposals and/or marketing copy.
  • Must be a detail-oriented, results-driven individual with a commitment to quality, accuracy and the ability to organize and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal and excellent communication (written and oral) skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and functional skills with the ability to multi-task and be willing to learn.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively and cooperatively, take direction, work well in a team environment, and interact with all levels of management, engineering, systems, operations and field personnel.
  • Strong leadership experience, technical go to person.
  • Ability to multitask and demonstrate flexibility in managing multiple projects.

Work Conditions: 

  • Position will primarily work in a typical office environment but is expected to travel to project sites occasionally. Subject to time pressures and constraints and is also dependent on input from
